School principal held for sexually assaulting student

The principal of a government-aided high school here has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student at a tuition centre being run by him, police said today.
The incident took place on August 20.
K P V Sateesh Kumar (55) was arrested yesterday and a case has been registered against him under Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) on the basis of the girl's statement, police said.
He has been remanded in judicial custody and sent to the Kannur Central Prison, they said.
