Para-military forces conducted flag marches in the town which remained peaceful today, a day after the violence that left 12 people injured and six vehicles badly damaged near Balmiki Chowk.
No untoward incident was reported from any part of the city since this morning, Sirsa Deputy Commissioner J Ganesan said adding curfew, imposed yesterday, would remain in force.
He ordered that schools, colleges and other educational institutions would remain shut till Wednesday.
Security had been beefed up and "Sirsa city has been sealed completeley", the DC said.
"No vehicle or person has been allowed to enter or leave the city and even the roadways bus service has been stopped," he said.
"Apart from imposition of curfew, prohibitory orders have been promulgated in the entire district to maintain law and order," Ganesan said.

IGP (Law and Order) Mohammad Akil, IGP (Hisar) Arshinder Chawla and other top police and district officers were keeping a strict watch on the situation, he said.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also appealed to the people to maintain calm and harmony.
