Zilla Parishad CEO Uday Chaudhari said each year the opening of new academic session in schools is celebrated as 'Pravesh Utsav' and this year too various programmes will be held to mark the occasion.
"This year, among all 1,374 zilla parishad-run schools and 120 private schools in Thane that will record 100 per cent attendance on day one (on June 15) will be given certificate of appreciation," he said.
School premises will be decorated and students will be given a warm welcome by teachers.
