Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today said thoughts motivated by science and technology have the potential to bolster change and urged students to adopt a progressive attitude to keep the pace of society in tandem with developed countries.
"Development sans science and technology is not permanent. If the students need to go forward they need to take the help of science and technology as their launch pad," said Sonowal.
"We need to take concerted efforts to popularise science and technology among the young minds and help them adopt new concept of science and technology based on participatory approach," he said.
The chief minister also unveiled the 'Science on a Sphere' equipment at the Regional Science Centre.
He also called upon the students to take advantage of the new instrument to garner more knowledge about the hidden facts of the universe.
