The second phase of exhibition on rail is being re-launched by Environment ministry in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology and Indian Railway.
The flag off ceremony to be held at Safdarjung here on Tuesday is expected to be attended by union ministers including Jayanthi Natarajan, Pawan Kumar Bansal and Jaipal Reddy and Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
After flag off, the train will then leave for Pragati Maidan railway station where it will be stationed from April 10 to 13 and will be open to visitors.
Thereafter the train will halt at 60 more locations across India. The present run of the train is the second phase in the two phase programme envisaged to cover a minimum of 100 locations.
Of the 16 coaches of the train, eight are solely dedicated to showcasing the myriad biodiversity spread across all the bio-geographical zones of the country. The first phase journey had ended in December last year.
