Swaminathan, also founder of MS Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSSRF) here, conveyed the prayers of scientists, scholars and staff of his institution for the speedy recovery of Jayalalithaa.
An MSSSRF release here said Swaminathan called on Deputy Speaker Lok Sabha M Thambidurai, state Finance Minister O Panneerselvam and Health Minister C Vijayabhaskar during his visit.
Also, Congress party spokesperson Kushboo Sundar, pastors of Church of South India (CSI) and a host of others visited the hospital.
