The money, donated by Professor George Stonehouse, of Edinburgh Napier University and Indian-born businesswoman Vin Murria, was given to St Mary Day School and Orphanage, Kolkata at the University's Indian graduation ceremony.
Last year also Edinburgh Napier University has donated 10,000 pounds to Cain Gomes and Asif Ahmed for studying BA Hospitality Management in Edinburgh.
This time round, the donation is to be used either to fund the studies of two other St.Mary's students or to support Cain and Asif through their 4th honours year at the University.
The ceremony also recognised 2nd year IIHM student Aman Kumar Singh who received the Professor Dame Joan Stringer Award, set up by Edinburgh Napier's former Principal.

As a result, Aman will have his third year fees of 764 pound waived.
270 students will graduate from Edinburgh Napier University in India this week.
The University offers hospitality courses at IIHM in Kolkata and Delhi as well as at the Institute of Advanced Management (IAM) in Kolkata and Goa.
