A multi-level car parking facility in the Rajouri Garden area with a capacity to accommodate 234 vehicles was inaugurated today.
Spread over an area of around 8,496 sqm at ground level, and two levels in basement, it has been built at a cost of Rs 21.66 crore, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation said.
"This facility consists of a sprinkle system to control fire, exhaust fans and ducts for fresh air," South Delhi Mayor Shyam Sharma said after dedicating the facility to the public at a function organised by the SDMC.
Local BJP MP Parvesh Verma presided over the function.
Sharma said this parking facility will benefit the residents and traders of Rajouri Garden and nearby colonies.
The mayor also said that he will inaugurate a few such parking lots in coming days.
