An industry body today said that it has sought the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in resolving the issue of the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital.
The secretary general of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) in a letter to the prime minister has urged Modi to "bring an ordinance in Parliament to halt sealing for at least one year".
The CAIT in a statement said it has "sought intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in resolving the sealing issue".
Sealing action is being undertaken on the directions of a Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee, and it began December last year.
