Search operation conducted in Pathankot

As a precautionary measure, Pathankot police today launched a search operation in few villages here to check any anti-terror activities.
"We have conducted search operation in few villages here to see movement of any suspects or any wrong person living in these areas," Pathankot SSP Rakesh Kaushal said here today.
However, he said it is a precautionary measure in the wake of recent terror activities in Jammu region.
"We are extra vigilant to thwart attempt of any terror activity in our area," he asserted.
A large number of Punjab police cops were deployed in border villages to carry out search operation.

Kaushal said today that it was just for the safety of the people of the area, adding, residents need not to be panic about the search operation.
