Sebi has disposed of cases against three companies related to alleged non-compliance with respect to the regulator's online complaint redressal system.
The cases were against VHCL Industries, Western Projects and WEBEL Power Electronics alleging that they did not obtain mandatory SCORES authentication from Sebi within the prescribed time.
Rejecting the complaints, Sebi's Adjudicating Officer Soma Majumder, in three separate but similarly-worded orders, said the companies ceased to exist before circulars were issued requiring them to comply with SCORES system.
Launched in June 2011, SCORES (Sebi Complaints Redressal System) provides a centralised database of all investor complaints. It helps investors view, track and follow up the action taken on their grievances.
