Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, Flag Officer Commanding-in- Chief, held discussions on issues of common interest with the visiting Secretary, who was accompanied by a nine-member US delegation, at the Southern Naval Command.
"On completion, crest and gifts were exchanged with the visiting dignitary. During his visit, the Secretary witnessed the Indian Naval training facilities of Southern Naval Command at Kochi," a Navy release said.
In the afternoon session, the SECNAV accompanied by the US delegation visited Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi, where he was shown the indigenous aircraft carrier under construction.
