Second edition of Windmill festival to be in Mumbai

The second edition of the two-day Windmill Festival, touted as India's first International Children's festival, will be held in Mumbai next year.
Jointly organised by Event Capital and Tribe Asia, the fest, catering to kids below 12 years, would be held at Reliance Jio Garden, BKC on January 14 and 15 next year.
It will include a day care centre, play areas, centre for robotics, centre for art, workshops, music and sports arena, and much more, all categorised to suit the needs of different age groups of children, according to a statement issued by the organisers.
"Windmill Festival was started with a vision to make it a global property. Windmill Festival came to the audiences at the right time, and the experience was overwhelming for the first year in Bengaluru, with the focus on getting children outdoors. The festival saw families come together for spending quality time with kids, and for once the parents focused on what the kids wanted over this weekend," Mirza Baig, Director IP of Tribe Asia said.
Speaking about the genesis of the festival, Swaroop Banerjee, CEO of Event Capital said, "Worldwide, festival dedicated to the kids are held with fanfare and thats what we are trying to replicate in our country too. There has never been a better time for our kids for outdoor entertainment area. The first Windmill Festival in Bengaluru saw over 6,000 families make their way to what was a truly internationally curated format, Mumbai makes it mainstream for us."
For the festival, India's leading online parenting platform, MyCity4Kids.Com has come on-board as the Online Parenting Partner of the festival.
