The move was taken after a local newspaper had yesterday carried a report about probable threat to the Baba Ramdevra Temple area posed by some criminals, Additional Superintendent of Police Prabhudayal Dhania said.
A meeting with the temple committee was organised on the issue yesterday and it was decided that only one entry gate would be kept opened for all visitors, who have to pass a metal detector, Dhania said.
Inspections were also being carried out to check whether CCTV cameras installed on the temple premises were functional, he said. The police department, however, has not received any such threat call so far, he added.
