Security beefed up in Rajasthan ahead of Independence day

The security in and around the city as well as across the state has been beefed up in view of the Independence day celebrations on Monday.
"We have made adequate security arrangements in the city. Quick reaction team and additional policemen have been deployed. Sensitive areas are being given additional security," Jaipur Police Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal told PTI.
He said all the units have been sensitised and a three-layer security will be there at Chaugan stadium where Independence day celebration will take place.
The state level Independence day celebration will take place in Ajmer which will be attended by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

"Security has been beefed up and extra police pickets would be there at several junctures of the city besides QRT and additional police personnel," another police officer in Ajmer said.
He said all the senior police officers have been asked to increase patrolling and vigorous checking at every nook and corner of city.
