RWAs and NGOs will be involved and thrust will be on community policing, he said adding if residents become the eyes and ears of police, crime can be checked effectively.
Regarding senior citizens, he said a separate cell will be set up for them so that they can raise their problems and "we are able to provide sense of security to them".
Regular meetings between policemen and senior citizens living in their areas would be held, the SSP said.
