Security personnel today busted a bomb making factory allegedly of the CPI(Maoist) in the foothills of Parasnath Hills in Giridih district of Jharkhand, a senior CRPF official said.
Parasnath Hills is one of the most important pilgrim centres for Jains.
The security personnel stumbled on the bomb making factory at Dholkata village in the course of a search operation in naxal-affected area, CRPF Inspector General Sanjay Anand Latekar.
The security personnel also recovered two containers of explosive containing explosives weighing 20 kg each and other substances, he said.
Latekar said the factory has been sealed and a massive search operation has been launched in the area.
Earlier, security personnel had demolished a naxal camp at Lugu forest in Bokaro district and seized four IEDs of two kg each, 50 SLR live ammunition, 243 gelatin sticks among others on Sunday last, officials said.
The seizure was made based on the input provided by a naxal sub-zonal commander who was arrested along with 12 other left wing extremists from Giridih district on March 5.
