A meeting of the officials was chaired here in the afternoon by Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar.
He stressed on the need for effective and responsive mechanism among all security forces and Intelligence agencies to maintain peace and security in the state.
"Peace is imperative for development and growth in different fields which should be maintained at all costs," Kumar told the meeting.
Senior officers of Police, CRPF, BSF, Army, ITBP and Intelligence were present in the meeting held at the Police Control Room. Jammu IGP attended the meeting through video conference.

Officers representing different agencies briefed the meeting about the measures taken on different fronts to safeguard the interests of the state, he said.
Kumar said rule of the law should be ensured at all costs and nobody should be allowed to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the state.
He added police along with other security forces are firm to tackle any situation and all subversive acts by the militants will be faced with fortitude.
"The desperate attempts by the militants to target security personnel would not deter us to prevail complete peace in the state," Kumar said, adding all security forces in the state will collectively eradicate the menace of terrorism.
He said the forces are exercising restraint while responding to such acts in order to avoid collateral damages.
He also asked the officers to implement the common strategy, already framed to deal the situation and said joint meetings and input sharing will give better results of the strategy adopted by the agencies.
