"Based on the overall threat perception as well as general and specific intelligence inputs received from time to time, the vital installations, monuments, protected areas and other sensitive places and important institutions located in various districts of the state, which may be vulnerable to potential terrorist attack and identified as necessary security arrangements are made accordingly," Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik told the assembly.
Patnaik was replying to a question of Congress member N K Das.
Stating that this is a "continuous and dynamic process", he said the security arrangements are reviewed at regular intervals to detect any shortfall on the security front so that existing security system can be further upgraded and streamlined.
Marine police stations in the coast are also engaged in the security arrangement, he added.
