Security posts along dist border for Kairana assembly bypoll

To ensure free and fair election to the Kiarana assembly here, the authorities have set up 16 check-posts along inter-state and inter-district borders, officials said today.
VK Mishra, Additional SP of Shamli, said, "16 check-posts have been established along inter-state and inter-district borders to check the entry from the surrounding areas during polling, which is scheduled to be held on October 15..."
Meanwhile, no candidate has so far filed nomination papers since the process began on September 20. Except SP, none of the major parties has decided on their candidates for the assembly constituency. Nomination procedure would continue till September 27.
