Security provided to TMC office in Rajapalayam

Security has been provided for the Tamil Manila Congress office here following threats to manager Venkatrama Raja and party functionaries by Congress workers last night.
Police said today that Congress's Rajapalayam town unit president Sankar Ganesh accompanied by his supporters, came to the TMC office armed with knives and sticks last night, leading to tension.
However Inspector Tirumal Azhagu and his team pacified both the groups and dispersed them.
The dispute between the two groups is over the ownership of the Nehru Bhavanam building where the TMC office is located now.
A meeting between TMC and Congress functionaries would be held tomorrow to find a solution, officials said.
