"We have received an alert from the state government yesterday regarding threat perception at the city airport. Accordingly, security in and around the airport have been stepped up for an indefinite period," AAI Director Dr B P Sharma told PTI.
To a question, Sharma replied they have not received any note of alert directly from the MHA or any central agency.
"All agencies involved with security at the city airport, including the CISF, have already been directed in a meeting to take stringent measures to strengthen security," Sharma said.
