Seemandhra MLAs of TDP, YSRCP evicted from Assembly
Press Trust of India Hyderabad Legislators of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh were forcibly evicted from the Legislative Assembly late this evening, breaking their seven-hour agitation demanding voting on the AP Reorganisation Bill-2013.
The MLAs stayed put inside the House after it was adjourned for the day this afternoon, demanding that the Speaker put the Bill to vote.
They also wanted a resolution moved in the House opposing the proposed bifurcation of the state.
The legislators vowed to remain inside the House and continue their agitation. Eventually, on the instructions of Speaker Nadendla Manohar, marshals evicted them.
Police then took the legislators to their respective party offices.
