Seized drugs burnt in Aizawl

The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department's Drugs Disposal Committee today destroyed seized drugs worth Rs 2.5 crore in Aizawl, a department spokesman said.
2.65 kg heroin, 368.88 kg ganja, 15.42 kg opium and 22.54 lakh pseudoephedrine tablets were burnt by the Commissioner of Excise and Narcotics department Lalhmunsanga, the spokesman said.
The seized drugs were publicly destroyed following a local court's order, the spokesperson added.
