The industrial metals fell to an eight-month low at the London Metal Exchange (LME) as concerns about economic growth cast doubts over the global industrial metals demand outlook and pushed speculators to open more short positions ahead of a two-day holiday in China.

Copper armiture, copper sheet cutting, aluminium ingots and zinc all softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 459, Rs 455, Rs 138 and Rs 140, respectively.
