Select base metal prices rise on uptick in demand

Select base metal prices looked up by Rs 2 each per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to pick-up in demand from consuming industries.
Traders said upsurge in demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market, mainly led to the rise in select base metal prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot moved up by Rs 2 each to Rs 340 and Rs 106-112 per kg, respectively.
Lead ingot and lead imported also enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 95 and Rs 101 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metals' rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 106-112, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 783-788, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 340, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 95, lead imported Rs 101, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
