Globally, industrial metal copper in early trade teetered near six-year lows hit the previous session as the dollar gave up some gains, but the outlook for prices stayed poor given weakening Chinese demand growth for metals.
Tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,125 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,120 and copper sheet cuttings regained by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 354 as compared to Rs 350 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and zinc moved up by a Re per kg each to Rs 371, Rs 365, Rs 399 and 140 respectively.
However, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 268 and Rs 278 from overnight closing level of Rs 270 and Rs 280.
