Select base metals decline on global cues

Meanwhile, select copper, brass and zinc prices gained on renewed buying amidst better offtake from industrial users.

Industrial metals fell at the LME after weekend data showed a Chinese factory activity slump, fanning fears over global metal demand.

Nickel and tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,090 and Rs 1,300 from Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,095 and Rs 1,305.

Copper armature and copper sheet cutting softened by Re 1 each per kg to Rs 469 and Rs 464, respectively.

However, zinc moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 133 as against Rs 131 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all inched by Re 1 each to Rs 485, Rs 445, Rs 513, Rs 317 and Rs 327, respectively.
