Select base metals decline on subdued demand

The industrial metals rose at the LME snapping four sessions of losses, on encouraging economic data from the US and China.

Tin slumped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,305 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,315.

Copper utensils scrap dropped by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 438 from Rs 441.

Copper armature and aluminium utensils edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to RS 463 and Rs 110 from Rs 465 and Rs 112.

Copper cable scrap, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and lead softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 483, Rs 511, 459, Rs 319, Rs 330 and Rs 122, respectively.

However, copper wire bar inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 511 from Rs 510.
