Select base metals firm up on consistent demand

The industrial metal rose at the LME to a one-week high as the market reopened after the Christmas break after a strong corporate data from China.

Brass sheet cutting climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 334 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 331.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensil scrap, aluminium utensils and tin all edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 494, Rs 522, Rs 323, Rs 118 and Rs 1,415 from Rs 492, Rs 520, Rs 321, Rs 116 and Rs 1,413, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap and copper sheet cutting inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 485, Rs 448 and Rs 470.
