Select base metals firm up on good demand

Select base metals including copper, zinc and lead firmed up at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists buying amidst good demand from industrial users.
While, tin and nickel slipped owing to poor offtake from alloy industries.
Copper utensils rose by Rs 12 per kg to Rs 367 from Monday's close Rs 355 and copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 404 as against Rs 401 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cuttings, zinc and lead edged up by a Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 413, Rs 441, Rs 386, Rs 244 and Rs 153 as against Rs 411, Rs 439, Rs 384, Rs 242 and Rs 151 respectively.
Copper armiture inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 393.
However, tin and nickel declined by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 1,490 and Rs 790 as compared Rs 1,500 and Rs 800 yesterday.
