Select base metals gains on better offtake

Meanwhile, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap declined on reduced demand from consumer industries.

The London Metal Exchange were closed today on account of a bank holiday.

Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 465 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 462.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 484 and Rs 512 from Rs 482 and Rs 510 previously.

Copper scrap heavy, brass sheet cutting and zinc inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 476, Rs 328 and Rs 135 respectively.

However, copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 443 from previous close of Rs 446.

Copper armiture and brass utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 467 and Rs 319.
