Select base metals gains on mild demand

Select base metals like tin and copper gained in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid mild demand from industrial users.
Overseas, copper held-up well, while most base metals were little changed in early LME trade, though FOMC likely to provide direction.
Tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,310 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,305.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 389 and Rs 417 respectively.
However, brass utensils softened by a Re per kg to Rs 287 from 288 previously.
