Globally, London copper drifted lower in early trade at the London Metal Exchange, as traders awaited a possible US interest rate increase this week, but losses were cushioned by a seasonal demand pick-up and as lower prices forced some producers to trim supply.
Nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 835 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 830.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 422, Rs 417 and Rs 450.
However, tin dropped by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 1,162 as against Rs 1,168 yesterday.
Zinc and lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 158 and Rs 122.
