Select base metals recover on fresh offtake

Most base metals recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on fresh demand from stockists and industrial users.
Nickel prices also firmed up owing to rising demand from stockists and alloy industries.
Nickel prices climbed by Rs 11 per kg to Rs 715 from Monday's closing level of Rs 704.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar rose by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 384, Rs 378 and Rs 412 as against Rs 380, Rs 374 and Rs 408 previously.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 370 and Rs 364 from Rs 368 and Rs 362, respectively.
Copper utensils, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cuttings, zinc and lead also inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 347, Rs 279, Rs 286, Rs 168 and Rs 136 respectively.
