On global front, industrial metal copper edged up at the LME in early trade, as traders took heart from an output cut in Chile and a revival in Glencore shares, but volumes shrank ahead of a week-long break in top consumer China.
Nickel and tin spurted by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 820 and Rs 1,165 from Tuesday's closing of Rs 810 and Rs 1,155.
Copper utensils scrap climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 378 as against Rs 373 yesterday.
Copper armiture, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting edged up by a Re per kg each to Rs 395, Rs 299 and Rs 307, respectively.
However, lead softened by a Re per kg to Rs 122.
