Select base metals slide on reduced industrial demand

Select base metals led by copper traded lower by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced industrial demand.
Traders attributed the weakness in select base metals to reduced demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap declined by Rs 2 Rs 430 per kg. Lead ingot and lead imported were also traded lower by similar margin to Rs 105 and Rs 103 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 114-120, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,099-1,105, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 430, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 105, Lead imported 103, Aluminium ingots 166, Aluminium sheet cutting 167, Aluminium wire scrap 169 and Aluminium utensils scrap 166.
