Select base metals soften on reduced offtake

Select base metals prices eased by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries led to the fall in select base metals prices.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) and copper mixed scrap fell by Rs 2 each to Rs 847-852 and Rs 377 per kg respectively.
Lead ingot and lead imported also enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 90 and Rs 96 per kg respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 102-108, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 847-852, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 377, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 90, lead imported Rs 96, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
