Select copper, brass and zinc prices softened in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on mild stockist selling amidst subdued demand from industrial users.
The industrial metals inched-up at LME, after a below par jobs report in the United States suggested the Federal Reserve may slow the pace it pulls back on a commodities-friendly stimulus.
Copper sheet cutting moved-down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 493 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 495.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc all edged-down by a Re per kg each to Rs 516, Rs 497, Rs 475, Rs 544, Rs 357, Rs 367 and Rs 173, respectively.
