Traders said sentiments bolstered as industrial metals climbed in global markets after data showed China's economy grew faster than forecast on the back of government stimulus, boosting demand for the base metals.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months increased 0.9 per cent to USD 5,617 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 400 and Rs 967-972 per kg, respectively.
