Select copper slips on subdued industrial demand

Copper prices slipped marginally at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid subdued demand from industrial users.
While, brass and zinc prices rebounded modestly owing to mild offtake from consumer industries.
Globally, traders said sentiment turned bearish after zinc led industrial metals traded lower in London and Shanghai, amid continued speculation that China's economic slowdown and financial market volatility will roil metal markets.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting edged down by a Re per kg each to Rs 380, Rs 375, Rs 349, Rs 408 and Rs 366, respectively.
However, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 276, Rs 281 and Rs 142, respectively.
