Select copra declines on heavy selling by stockists

Copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices declined further at the spices market here following heavy selling by stockist and traders amidst ample arrivals from producing belts.
While, copra edible recovered smartly on renewed demand from millers and upcountry buyers.
Elsewhere, black pepper, ginger and copra Rajapur all ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices moved down by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 9,700 and Rs 9,500 from Monday's closing level of Rs 9,700 and Rs 9,500, respectively.
However, copra edible shot-up by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 13,000 as against Rs 12,500 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 740/790 (740/790), ginger bleached (per kg) 250 (250), ginger unbleached (per kg) 270 (270), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,700 (9,800), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,500 (9,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 20,000 (20,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,000 (12,500).
