Select copra drops on heavy selling
Press Trust of India Mumbai Copra prices continued to fall further at the spices market here today following heavy unwinding from stockists amidst subdued demand from retailers and miller coupled with ample supply positions.
While, black pepper and ginger remained stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Copra edible slumped by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 8,880 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 9,300.
Copra Rajapur shed Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 9,100 from Rs 9,400.
Copra office Alapuzha also dipped by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,800 as against Rs 8,000 yesterday.
