Select copra gains on sustained demand, spices eases

Copra office Kozhikode, copra Rajapur Mumbai and Copra edible Mumbai prices gained further at the spices market here today due to sustained demand from stockists and traders on the back of ensuing festival seasons.
While, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached declined due to subdued retail offtake on the back of weak export enquiries amid adequate supplies.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai climbed by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 22,000 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 21,500.
Copra edible rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 12,700 from Rs 12,500.
Copra office Kozhikode moved up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,000 as against Rs 8,900 previously.
However, black pepper fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 710/760 to Rs 720/770.
