Select copra, ginger and pepper firm up on rising demand

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices strengthened further at the spices market here today on consistent demand from stockists and retailers amidst sustained millers offtake.
Elsewhere, black pepper and ginger firmed up further on sustained demand from exporters and upcountry advices.
Meanwhile, copra edible dropped due to subdued offtake from stockist and retailers.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode gained by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 11,200 and Rs 11,100 from Monday's closing level of Rs 11,000 and Rs 10,900, respectively.
Black pepper climbed by Rs 40/50 per kg to Rs 740/790 from Rs 700/740.
Ginger bleached and unbleached moved up by Rs 15 and Rs 30 per kg each to Rs 340 and Rs 370 as compared to Rs 325 and Rs 340, respectively.

However, Copra edible dipped up by Rs 700 per quintal to Rs 11,500 as against Rs 12,200.
