Select copra plunges on reduced demand

Copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible prices plunged at the spices market here today on heavy selling owing to fresh arrivals from producing regions.
Elsewhere, copra office Alapuzha dropped further following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
While, black pepper, ginger and copra office Kozhikode closed at their overnight levels in the absence of any necessary buying support.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai slumped by Rs 1,000 per quintal to Rs 16,000 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 17,000.
Copra edible fell by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 12,000 from Rs 12,500.
Copra office Alapuzha moved down by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,100 as against Rs 10,300 yesterday.
