Select copra prices hold steady amidst poor demand

In a restricted activity, copra Alapuzha, copra Kozhikode, black pepper and ginger bleached and unbleached prices held steady at the spices market here today due to poor demand from stockist amidst adequate stocks availablilty.
Meanwhile, local copra market were closed today on account of two-day strike called by traders in protest against the imposition of LBT (local body tax).

Black pepper (per kg) 418/448 (418/448), ginger bleached (per kg) 180 (180), ginger unbleached (per kg) 190 (190), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,775 (4,775), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,700 (4,700), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) closed (6,400) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) closed (5,750).
