Select copra slips on subdued demand, higher arrivals

Prices of copra Kozhikode and Alapuzha moved down at the spices market here today due to reduced offtake from stockists and retailers amid improved supplies.
Copra edible firmed up on renewed domestic buying.
Black pepper, ginger and copra Rajapur Mumbai continued rule stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
Copra office Kozhikode and copra office Alapuzha both fell by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 4,975 and Rs 5,050 from overnight closing level of Rs 5,025 and Rs 5,100, respectively.
However, copra edible Mumbai rose by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,900 as against Rs 5,850 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 425/455 (425/455), ginger bleached (per kg) 180 (180), ginger unbleached (per kg) 190 (190), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,050 (5,100), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,975 (5,025), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,500 (6,500) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,900 (5,850).
