Select copra slips on subdued offtake
Press Trust of India Mumbai In a restricted activity, copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices slipped at the spices market here today due to subdued offtake by stockist and retailers.
Meanwhile, there was no trading in local copra, pepper and ginger markets owing to bandh called by traders in protest against the imposition of LBT (local body tax) by the government.
Copra office Kozhikode fell by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 4,450 from Monday's closing level of Rs 4,500.
Copra office Alapuzha eased by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 4,550 from Rs 4,575.
