Select edible oil prices drifted up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.
However, non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand at prevailing levels and adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils fell by Rs 200 and Rs 100 to Rs 9,000 and Rs 6,400 per quintal respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,900 and Rs 6,600 per quintal respectively.
Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils followed suit and shed Rs 50 each at Rs 6,200 and Rs 6,000 per quintal respectively.
